Our Project Managers are a key part of our company infrastructure. Our project management teams are broken into specific areas and disciplines, each focus on a specific regional location or project type. We are looking for an experience project manager to work on commercial, international glazing & high-end residential contracts.
As a Project Manager you will oversee and run all aspects of the contract through from design to installation or delivery. Each project manager has their own allocated projects however, the project managers work as a team, supporting and assisting each other along with a purchasing department to help procure.
REPORTING TO the Contracts Director
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management
Lead multiple glazing projects simultaneously, from pre-construction through to handover.
Develop and maintain detailed project programmes, schedules, and oversite.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, structural engineers, and client teams.
Oversee design development, ensuring compliance with UK building regulations and project specifications.
Ensure all procurement, fabrication, logistics, and installation activities run to programme.
Manage change control processes, issuing variations and updated costings where required.
Use our internal CRM systems to track, manage and report on your projects from start to finish.
Stakeholder & Client Management
Act as the primary point of contact for clients and main contractors.
Lead progress meetings, provide updates, and manage expectations.
Build strong relationships with high-end residential clients, developers, and commercial contractors.
Liaise with international partners, suppliers, and logistics teams for overseas projects.
Ensuring our client and all interested parties are always kept up to date with the project progress and logged to the CRM.
Ensuring a positive and effective relationship with all parties including the main contractor and architect.
Financial Management
Reviewing and understanding the quote and budget created by the Estimating team
Raising concerns or issues with budgets with the procurement director / team
Review the allowances for glass, labour and anything unusual.
Sign off purchase orders generated by the procurement team, ensuring that the costs are as expected and within budget.
Keeping your CVR sheet up to date at all times to show committed costs and actual costs against budget.
Monitoring margins on projects to ensure the sales margin is met or exceeded.
Sign off invoices for payments in WAP on time, updating your CVR with actual costs.
Project income forecasting
Installation and Logistics Management
Planning installations keeping in mind logistics, health and safety and construction program.
Liaise with the site team to plan a successful installation
Produce detailed health and safety documentation for the projects.
Technical & Quality Oversight
Review and approve technical drawings, method statements, and installation details.
Conduct site visits to monitor installation quality and ensure adherence to design and specification.
Resolve technical issues promptly, liaising with internal design teams and external stakeholders.
Ensure all products and systems meet performance requirements (thermal, acoustic, structural, safety).
Team Leadership
Oversee and support project coordinators, site supervisors and installation teams.
Conduct performance reviews, mentoring and professional development.
Coordinate with manufacturing, design, accounts and sales team to ensure smooth project completion
Required Experience & Skills
Experience
Minimum
5-10 years
project management experience within the
glazing, facade, aluminium systems, or specialist construction
sector.
Proven delivery of high-value glazing packages (100k-2m) in the UK.
Experience managing high-end residential and commercial projects.
International project experience beneficial (e.g., Europe, Middle East, Caribbean).
Strong understanding of aluminium systems, curtain walling, structural glazing, sliding/bi-fold systems, balustrades, and bespoke glazing solutions.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CDM, CWCT.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, structural details, and fabrication drawings.
Proficiency with project management tools, CVR reporting, CRM systems.
Competent in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
Personal Skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong leadership abilities and the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
Highly organised with exceptional time-management.
Solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent qualification in construction management, engineering, or similar (preferred).
SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
CSCS card (Manager or Supervisor level).
PRINCE2, APM, or similar project management certification advantageous.
Full UK driving licence.
Details
Amersham - Office Based, travel to site will be required.
Permanent 8:00-5:00 (40 Hours per week) Monday - Friday.
