LSHTM's Project management Office (PMO) is responsible for delivering all of the organisations strategic projects across a wide portfolio and the successful candidate will be joining a close-knit team with diverse skill-sets. You will be working alongside Business Analysts and Change Pm's, IT PM's, Capital & Estates staff and Process & Project Governance professionals.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Estates Senior Project Manager (SPM) to join PMO, reporting directly to the Head of PMO, with a wide range of responsibilities, relating to Capital Estate projects.
The Estates SPM is the focal point for Capital Project delivery, leading on our Estate transformation delivering both large and small projects, with a main focus on the systematic refurbishment of our historic Keppel Street building, spanning the next 7-10yrs.
You will have line management responsibility for PM and APM who manage key strategic Capital Projects (max 2 staff), delivering refurbishment projects within our operational and listed building. Alongside this, there will be a requirement to deliver their own capital projects, alongside the team supervision.
All PMO staff at times could become involved with other strategic projects, which offer opportunities to develop diverse skills and knowledge.
You must hold a degree or show suitable practical equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, which may include, mechanical or electrical engineering, environmental engineering, building and construction, chartered surveyor or architect. You must be knowledgeable in construction management and will have responsibility for the oversight and delivery of projects from conception to completion. Further particulars are included in the.
The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1 FTE and permanent.
The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 8 in the range 64,469 - 73,994 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary "Wellbeing Days". Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
