About the Job


You'll manage a team of project managers delivering Planned Maintenance and Improvement Works to our properties. There's a focus on external repairs and the following works:

Painting works Window, door and roofline Pitched and flat roof Boundary/retaining wall Resurfacing Energy measures


You will have oversight of all contracts within the Planned Investment function, ensuring that programmes delivered by your team are to appropriate legislative, compliance and quality standards. Additionally, you'll have contract administration duties including specification preparation, undertaking surveys and inspections to our stock to assist in future planning of the planned maintenance and improvement programmes. Your role and scope of works will be influenced by the needs of the Investment team, a key part of the wider Asset Management Team. A DBS check is required for this role.



You'll need;

A construction related Degree or 5 years' experience gained delivering a similar role Detailed contract knowledge and practice Ability to manage and motivate a team Budget control and oversight on team finance and delivery against target Ability to review information in detail, analyse and report concisely Excellent technical knowledge in planned works An understanding of matters affecting planned projects including Section 20 and Building Regulations The ability to support the team and provide guidance and advise on planned works issues, procedures, and contract administration Excellent customer focus Effectively lead, manage, and motivate to ensure that there is a culture of collaborative working to achieve the corporate goal of mhs Knowledge of Building / Construction techniques Able to specify and design Planned Work Projects across mhs homes stock Able to prepare specifications for Planned Work Projects for tendering Working effectively with colleagues across the business Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Experience with asset management software (e.g., Keystone)
