Due to our strong current workload and future projects pipeline we are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Project Manager with a genuine passion and experience of civil engineering and management of projects. The successful candidate will join our PMO team within the Highways and Civil Structures Business Unit and be based in our Leeds office to predominately deliver our project portfolio across Northern England, including West Yorkshire and Teeside.


Our Highway teams are recognised industry leaders and operate across several markets including the strategic road network, local roads and private developments through a series of investment programmes, professional service frameworks and bespoke project commissions. We have a strong portfolio of local and national clients, some of our recent projects include York Central, Bradford City Centre, Bradford Kings Road and Wakefield Road corridors, A641 in Brighouse,, Connecting North East Calderdale, Sheffield TCF, Manchester Streets for All and M25 J28.


We use the latest design software and techniques to produce innovative, efficient and sustainable design solutions for our clients. Our PMO team support project delivery by providing high quality project management services to our clients.

What does the role involve?




You will play a leading role in the delivery of highways and active travel projects for predominately local authority clients within multidisciplinary design teams by working closely with our clients to understand their needs and ensuring they are met. You will be responsible for:

The delivery of tasks and projects in accordance with the project programme. The monitoring and reporting of the project's financial performance. Identification of risks and opportunities. Liaising with clients, regulators and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of project deliverables. Managing and mentoring colleagues.

To be successful in this role you'll possess:



Relevant post-qualification highways experience and a successful record of project delivery. Previous experience of providing project governance on infrastructure projects. Experience of delivering multi-disciplinary projects for local authority clients and/ or experience of projects with business cases. Knowledge and understanding of NEC4 Professional Services Contract (PSC). NEC4 ECC Project Manager Accreditation is desirable but not essential. A relevant professional qualification e.g. IEng, CEng or Chartered Project Professional. Excellent time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop solutions. The ability to gain insight beyond a customer's immediate need to identify opportunities that benefit the customer through meaningful and productive relationships.
