Legacie Group are one of the UK's largest privately owned real estate investment & development companies, operating across residential, commercial & hospitality sectors.

We're currently recruiting for a Project Manager for projects across both Liverpool and Manchester through preconstruction and beyond.



The Project Managers role is to manage the site team, design teams and third-party teams effectively and in line with our core values and objectives, to deliver construction projects successfully.

The Project Manager has overall responsibility and accountability to ensure our construction projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget and to the clients satisfaction. They must ensure that all Legacie policies, procedures and management systems are implemented and maintained.

The Project Manager is responsible for setting up all aspects of the site from temporary accommodation through to hand over process with the client.

Primary responsibilities



To ensure that Legacie core values are followed by managers and teams. To ensure the construction department primary objectives are met by construction staff. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring an appropriate site team is in place for the project. Promote collaborate positive and inclusive communication through the full team. Engage our clients in regular project meetings, design meetings and hand over reviews. Implement our countdown to handover policy so that each stage is effectively communicated with the client team. Ensure regular site staff team meetings are followed to coordinate the management of the project. And produce relevant monthly status reports. Ensure regular coordination meetings are held with subcontractors and supply chain. They must demonstrate leadership of the safety management system (5 pillars approach) and ensure competency of all site staff and subcontract supervision. To ensure a safety forum consultation group is established for each project. Prepare and maintain the construction phase plan and ensure all strategy and company procedures are in place to administer the project. Ensure an active regime of Risk Assessment is applied to all the activities carried out by Legacie in full compliance with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. Ensure there is a proactive process of near miss (safety observations) reporting across all projects. To ensure there is a collaborative approach to design and health and safety risk management from planning, pre-construction and throughout the construction phase with safety and health being at the forefront of this process. Establish a good standard for housekeeping across all sites. Ensure key personnel are appointed for key roles - temporary works coordinator, permit controller, first aider, fire marshals. Ensure a Project Quality Plan is in place to set the standards from day one. Take ownership of the project in line with the Legacie brand standards quality requirements are in place and signed off by the client. Ensure our staff 'own' quality and are empowered to sign off work installations - challenge trade contractors. Ensure sample rooms are utilized to drive consistent level of quality. Ensure that Subcontract payment certificates are released only when works have been completed satisfactorily and QA has been completed and signed off for the works in question. Produce programmes collaboratively with our planning department and 'own' them to ensure our works are planned effectively. All project programmes to be reviewed weekly for current progress, critical path analysis and projections to inform management of actions required to arrest / prevent slippage and recovery. All projects to have programmes to complete in place at the midlife of the project including fully integrated finishes, testing and commissioning key dates, FF&E fit out arrangements and handover sequence planning in place with the client. Chair and minute weekly site progress meetings with the site teams and sub-contractors. Action any issues affecting progress on site. Manage the design and procurement process effectively to ensure the programme requirements are met. Ensure our information management policy is implemented and followed by all our staff and design team members. They must also understand and monitor the operating statements, contingency monitors, payments, valuations and cash flow issues. Implement project risk workshops at commencement of project and maintain through to completion and review risk and opportunity as required.

Experience / Qualifications



Previous Construction Project Management is essential to include preconstruction. Hi rise residential new build is essential Degree qualified or equivalent with a number of years experience leading a project Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills; SMSTS or SSSTS qualification Have a solid technical background with understanding or hands-on experience. Proficient in RAMS/CPHSP and Health and Safety on site A hand on, can-do attitude with the ability to be flexible in a growing business that is extremely busy. Be able to work to strict programmes & run projects from start to finish.
