Join the Close Brothers Project Management Team where you will execute, and deliver all projects on time, in budget, and within scope in accordance with business priorities. Throughout the lifecycle of each project, the Senior Project Manager tracks the project status, and manages project teams to mitigate issues and risks.
The successful candidate will be a practitioner of the Project Management and Business Change Community of Practice and contributes to the continuous improvement of the Skills and Capabilities of the function.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Project management
(SFIA Level 5)
Takes full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects.
Provides effective leadership to the project team. Adopts appropriate project management methods and tools. Manages the change control process and assesses and manages risks. Ensures that realistic project plans are maintained and delivers regular and accurate communication to stakeholders.
Ensures project and product quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure. Ensures that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are formally accepted, by appropriate stakeholders.
Organisational facilitation
(SFIA Level 5)
Facilitates workgroups to deliver defined goals and outcomes.
Provides support, guidance and suggestions to workgroups and teams to learn collaborative problem solving and improve their team performance. Creates shared responsibilities and sustainable agreements with the team.
Implements and improves agreed team principles, practices, processes & ceremonies.
Stakeholder relationship management
(SFIA Level 5)
Identifies the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups. Translates communications/stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables.
Facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders.
People
Recruit, train and employ high calibre employees within budget, headcount levels and temporary resource requirements.
Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
Provide oversight and direction to employees in accordance with the firm's policies, procedures, standards and SLAs.
Hold regular one-to-ones with direct reports ensuring that feedback is provided in a constructive way whilst working with the employee to facilitate personal development.
Ensure that an effective performance review is operated in line with department guidelines, including setting objectives, personal development planning and performance standards with all direct reports.
Developing Our People:
as a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE/CAN:
Managed a Project's budget on behalf of the Programme Manager/Portfolio Manager/Head of Change, monitoring the expenditures and costs against delivered and realised benefits
Build good long-lasting relationships with both internal and external customers, ability to handle challenge & conflict.
Identify, manages and monitors key risks making sure appropriate checks and balances are used
Plan and organise teams to ensure delivery is achieved
Collaborate openly with others, bringing an open and straightforward approach. Able to articulate clearly and present to others
Apply knowledge to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and feasible
Approach problem solving systematically and objectively.
Have a Project Management (PRINCE 2 or Other) Qualifications
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
Active experience leading a number of business and/or technical project deliveries in financial services or other similar regulated environment.
Experience of both traditional and agile methods
