Senior Project Manager

to join our Energy business. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering a

major underground cabling project

Your Role





As a Senior Project Manager, you will:


Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a complex, multidisciplinary power transmission construction scheme, from inception to completion. Ensure all work aligns with customer expectations, project specifications, and Morgan Sindall standards. Manage supervisory staff, direct labour, and subcontractor teams to deliver safe, high-quality, and efficient work.



About You





You're already excelling as a Senior Project Manager or a Project Manager ready to step up, with:


A degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering or construction discipline. Proven experience in civil infrastructure delivery--ideally in power transmission, utilities, or underground cabling projects. Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and their practical application on major infrastructure projects. A clear understanding of civil engineering practices, including: + Earthworks + De-watering
+ Cofferdam construction
+ Reinforced concrete works






Desirable Qualifications and Experience




Chartered status with a relevant professional body (ICE, CIOB, or equivalent). Exposure to and understanding of Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) processes. Experience in cost forecasting, commercial management, and managing the evolution of project estimates alongside design development. Strong commercial acumen and ability to support and lead on cost/value management, working in close partnership with commercial teams. Skilled in subcontractor procurement, management, and negotiating scope changes.

About our Energy business





We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.



Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair and refurbishment services.
