Operational Team based in the Central Belt of Scotland

As a

Senior

Project Manager

your role will be able to,


Lead, manage and co-ordinate all aspects of the advanced procurement processes and activities for ASTI substations, underground cabling, and overhead line projects on behalf of the project leads. Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with supply chain,

customers, partners, bid and project team.
Ensure that procurement strategies align with project goals, budget

constraints, and timelines while maintaining compliance with regulatory, technical, and safety standards.

What you'll be doing

Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with overall ASTI

programme.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project

timelines.
Identify, develop and evaluate potential suppliers and subcontractors. Continue

to manage these relationships to understand terms and conditions, lead times,


availability, performance, quality, compliance and on-time delivery to right first-

time principles.
Lead the development of new contracts with commercial to ensure clarity in

terms, conditions, technical standards and deliverables.
Liaise with stakeholders to inform them of changes to budgets. Take a strategic view of subcontract package allocation and ensure contractual

arrangements are in place
Ensure procurement plans are available in line with the overall project plans, such that material/resources/supply chain can be delivered to meet scheduled deadlines

Who we're looking for

Able to demonstrate a track record of project delivery as SPM in an operations

role.
Strong understanding of substation, UGC and OHL project requirements. Experience in front end preparation and planning to influence procurement and

engineering.
Good understanding of the standard forms of contracts Proficient in commercial/project management communications Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the

organisation
Effective team management skills which empower, influence & inspire others

to build effective teams. Providing mentoring and support to members of the


team where required
Commercially astute Able to undertake work in high pressure situations Good knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
