We are delighted to be recruiting a Technical Project Manager to work in our Digital,, Data & Technology Department.



The Project Manager will be an integral part of the development and delivery of the Trust's vision to be a truly digital healthcare organisation, supported by a solid foundation of infrastructure and innovative use of communication technology to enable excellence.



The main elements of the role include:



Project managing a number of technical interlinked projects within the portfolio.

Researching, supporting, facilitating and monitoring and reporting on project progress, escalating issues when required.

Supporting performance improvement.

Matrix management of staff assigned to the projects as required.



The role reports to the Chief Technology Officer and will take ownership of a range of projects, in accordance with best practice project management and Agile principles.



The Project Manager will manage technical projects from initiation to closure; including design, planning, execution, control, transition and transfer. The project will be managed in-line with standard Informatics processes and reporting standards; encompassing all aspects of Informatics services, process redesign, and interfaces with other parties.

PRIMARY DUTIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY



Develop planning for the implementations of multiple technical projects running concurrently and sharing resources Hold and manage the relevant project budgets within BTHFT Investigate and understand the business needs of user departments and build statements of requirements to meet both these and overall BTHFT operational requirements and service improvement strategies Negotiate contractual agreements with suppliers Liaise with suppliers and other Informatics departments in the planning and implementation of systems * Ensure that all projects are effectively defined, planned and delivered to meet the required statutory and service obligations of BTHFT
