The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate significant experience and clinical knowledge within Pancreas surgery, interventions and clinical management of this patient group as well as demonstrate leadership skills. The successful candidate will also need to be able to demonstrate experience in change management and leading projects to ensure the success of this role and a positive impact on our patients journey. Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is committed to its 7 annual commitments for 2025/2026, which this role will play a vital part in supporting the CSU to achieving these through supporting those moments that matter to our patients and supporting our patients to get home a day sooner. The appointee will work closely with the existing members of the surgical teams, including the Macmillan Cancer Nurse Specialists, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, ward based nurses and Surgeons, to provide advanced nursing expertise to patients undergoing surgery for pancreatic and upper GI cancers, whilst supporting the embedding of ERAS practices across the CSU .
