About the Role

Onshore Technical are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading energy infrastructure business, for an experienced

Senior Project Planner

to join a live site in

Uskmouth, South Wales

.

This is a contract position requiring approximately

three days per week on site

, supporting a major energy project through construction and commissioning phases. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project schedules, progress reporting, and performance tracking in alignment with client and stakeholder requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in accordance with project scope and milestones. Track and analyse progress, providing updates, forecasts, and risk assessments. Coordinate planning activities across engineering, procurement, and construction teams. Support the project management team with reporting, change control, and performance monitoring. Ensure alignment between planning data, commercial performance, and reporting requirements. Participate in programme reviews and progress meetings with client representatives.

Requirements

Background in

project planning

within the

energy, utilities, or infrastructure

sectors. Strong working knowledge of

Primavera P6

and Microsoft Project. Familiarity with

EPC/EPCM project environments

and multidisciplinary team coordination. National Grid or high-voltage project experience preferred. Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work flexibly and attend site around three days per week.
