Senior Property Manager (Leicester) - Full-Time
Salary: 40,000 - 70,000 per year (depending on experience)
Location: Leicester and Midlands (travel to properties required)
About Us:
We are launching a new property management and development arm within a long-established, privately owned business group. Backed by the strength and resources of the wider company, this division is focused on managing a growing portfolio of residential rental properties and supporting in-house development projects across the Midlands.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who wants to help shape a new division from the ground up. We're looking for a capable, motivated individual who can manage operations independently -- and who also has an interest in, or experience with, property development. You'll be working closely with the owner to establish systems, maintain standards, and help guide the direction of both rental and development activity.
We're looking for someone who's in it for the long term -- someone who wants to grow with the business, take ownership, and help shape something meaningful. In return, we offer a stable, supportive environment where your work genuinely matters and where initiative is recognised.
The Role:
You'll be the lead on day-to-day property management, acting as the main point of contact for tenants, contractors, and stakeholders. Alongside this, you'll support the business's property development activities -- from helping with site coordination to liaising with planning teams or contractors.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both operational work and contributing to a longer-term vision. You'll have support from junior staff and direct access to decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee rent collection, arrears, and payment processing
Liaise with tenants, contractors, service providers, and legal representatives
Manage maintenance schedules, repairs, and emergency issues
Prepare tenancy agreements, renewals, and deposit handling
Deliver monthly reports and updates to the owner
Supervise and delegate tasks to support staff as required
Provide assistance with development projects (planning, site visits, contractor coordination, etc.)
Help refine processes and systems for future growth
Requirements:
5+ years' experience in UK property management
Strong working knowledge of landlord-tenant legislation and compliance
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Reliable, professional, and comfortable managing properties independently
Experience or interest in residential development (preferred but not essential)
Confident using property management software and Microsoft Office
Hours:
Full-time: typically 40-50 hours per week
Flexibility required for occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekend work
On-call availability for urgent property issues (time off in lieu or agreed adjustments)
