CUSTOMER SERVICES ADVISOR
SENIOR PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER

Hours of work:
Standard full time hours are 35 per week, Monday to Friday. Flexible working hours including generous time off in lieu arrangements. We also offer agile working with a blend of home/office working. A working from home allowance is also provided of 50pcm.
Salary: SCP41 -SCP45a -48,664- 53,958
Car:
Business mileage paid at current HMRC mileage rates.
Pension:
10% employer's contribution to company pension scheme with 3% mandatory employee contribution. The pension scheme is a salary sacrifice scheme operated by Royal London.
Annual leave:
28 days annual leave, plus paid leave for all statutory holidays rising to 29 in the January following 2 years' service and thereafter a day per year until the maximum limit of 30 days.
Probation:
Your employment is subject to a probationary period of 6 months from your start date.
Notice period:
Two months on either side.
Sickness pay:
Generous sickness pay, plus enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION
1.0 JOB PURPOSE
To ensure social housing remains a cross-party political priority and that housing associations are viewed as key players in ending the housing crisis in Wales
To champion the value and impact of Supported Housing and specialist supported housing, ensuring their benefits are recognized and promoted across the political spectrum.
To lead delivery of our public affairs work, identifying risks and opportunities, coordinating public affairs activity across FCHA.
To build strong relationships on a cross-party basis locally with MS's, MP's ad local elected members, raising the agenda for people with a learning disability
To collaborate with key partners to influence election manifestos, ensuring that housing and supported housing issues are prioritised during election cycles.
Raise the awareness of the Homes Not Hospitals campaign across all political parties and actively campaign members ahead of the Senedd elections.
To secure positive change on behalf of FCHA across Wales by effective advocacy activity.
Build strong, trusted and impactful networks and relationships with CHC and external partners and decision makers to support efforts to secure change and promote the learning disability agenda across both local authorities and the Senedd
Work with the communications officer to promote FCHA, specifically in matters relating to policy
Work with stakeholders and partners proactively to build a strong and robust case for action and reform of legislation around Disability & Housing including at a national level. via effective engagement, relationships, evidence and public affairs activity.
To represent FCHA in Wales at a range of events, influencing opportunities and in the media
To have existing networks or proven ability to build them across sectors or within key stakeholders' networks with strategic networking skills
2.0 RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop a proactive public affairs plan, co-ordinating and delivering its effective implementation across the organisation.
Work closely with the Executive team making connections and introductions to relevant elected members and stake holders.
Work and develop relationships to enable co-production events and partnership working, including external projects and joint working with sector bodies, representative groups, support providers and other third sector organisations.
Work to support the delivery of FCHA's strategic objectives and consider ways in which research and evidence can contribute to all areas of your activity
This role will be responsible for creating and maintaining a range of strong, impactful and trusted relationships with, external partners, stakeholders and decision makers, necessary to secure change.
Manage and work closely with the Communications officer to support the creation of effective external communications on key issues including supporting the development of impactful content and providing expert advice on key policy issues
3.0 OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Uphold the Association's Code of Conduct, standing orders and policies and procedures, setting high personal standards in accordance with FCHA values.
Undertake any Health & Safety Responsibilities relevant to the role as outlined in the organisational Health & Safety Policy
Actively support FCHA in their actions to ensure Equality, diversity and inclusion for all tenants and staff.
Undertake other duties as may be reasonably expected commensurate with the post.
