Senior Product Manager - I.T. Procurement

Procurement & Product Management Team

at

Scan Computers International Ltd

. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, management, and development of our I.T. equipment portfolio while building strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and business customers.

This is a

full-time, office-based position

(Monday-Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 with a 1-hour lunch) at our head office in Enterprise Park, Middlebrook, Horwich, Bolton (BL6 6PE). Applicants should live within commuting distance or be willing to relocate.

The Role

As a Senior Product Manager (I.T. Procurement), you will:

Manage the procurement process for I.T. hardware, software, and related technologies. Build and maintain strong supplier and vendor relationships to secure the best commercial terms. Monitor product performance, pricing, and availability to ensure Scan remains competitive in the market. Work closely with sales and account management teams to align procurement with customer needs. Negotiate contracts, rebates, and supply agreements with partners. Analyse data and market trends to inform purchasing decisions and product strategies. Proactively identify new product opportunities and emerging technologies to grow our portfolio. Support the Managed Accounts Team with product knowledge and procurement expertise. Document and manage procurement pipelines and performance metrics using tools such as Trello and internal systems. Continuously increase product and market knowledge through research and training.

The Candidate

We're looking for someone who is:

Experienced in product management, procurement, or purchasing--ideally within the IT industry. Knowledgeable about I.T. hardware, software, and technology solutions. A strong communicator with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills. Confident, professional, and comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and high-value customers. Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proactive, analytical, and commercially minded with a focus on delivering results. A team player with the ability to also work independently.

Preferably has direct experience within the I.T. or technology industry.

Passionate about technology, with a genuine interest in innovation and the latest industry trends.
