To find out more please visit . Department/Role overview As Senior Pursuit Executive you will be responsible for providing critical support for the end-to-end pursuit process and management strategy. You will lead the development of responses and proposals in collaboration with Global Pursuit Team members, the wider Clients, Markets and Growth (CMG) team, partners and other stakeholders by developing leading and persuasive content for each requirement and client. Supporting pursuits throughout the process to ensure work-winning excellence, you will contribute to the strategic growth of the firm through new and existing business wins. The Senior Pursuit Executive will report to and work closely with the Pursuit and Operations Manager, and EMEA Head of Pursuits, as part of a team located across our UK offices. You will be an integral member of the Global Pursuits Team and the wider CMG function. As part of our commitment to driving bid excellence and supporting the professional development of our team, we are a Corporate member of APMP. Main responsibilities

  • Lead the pursuit process to ensure best practice responses are developed for individual client requirements.
  • Work with fee-earners and CMG team members to define the pursuit strategy with a clear win theme for strategic opportunities.
  • Managing the end-to-end pursuit process within the Global Pursuit Team, working collaboratively with all members of the firm.
  • Lead the writing, reviewing, proof reading and amendment support to drafted content, for improved internal compliance.
  • Monitor and promote work-winning best practice regarding writing style and tone while being compliant to individual client requirements or restrictions.
  • Support the Head of Pursuits to deliver all activity at the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Support pursuit client research, stakeholder briefings and reports on major and complex opportunities.
  • Contribute to the design of graphical elements for written proposals, such as operating models, value propositions and complex themes.
  • Provide critical support for the firm\'s preferred pursuit technology for the creation and delivery of proposals.
  • Feed into the firm\'s content management strategy by developing leading content for our content library.
  • Risk and control: ensure all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Essential skills and experience
  • Experience of proposal writing and collaborating with SME stakeholders and other teams to deliver against pursuit requirements.
  • Strong work-winning process knowledge, writing and project management skills; able to transform technical information into clear, compelling, succinct content for proposals to various audience types.
  • Ability to identify client requirements and articulate benefits and win themes.
  • Excellent organisational abilities and time management.
  • Exceptional eye for detail, able to spot errors and inconsistencies, i.e. strong proofreading skills.
  • Highly competent user of the Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Self-motivated; comfortable working autonomously to deliver the objectives of the role with limited day-to-day supervision.
  • Team player, with a strong service ethic and a desire to add value to the firm by improving the quality of proposals.
  • Keen eye for detail and design, able to improve the visual impact and aesthetic properties of proposal materials.
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent (preferably English or other arts/humanities degree).
Desired skills and experience
  • An understanding of legal practices, products and the legal competitive landscape, gained from previous experience within the legal sector.
  • Proposal or pursuit-specific qualification or certification, e.g. through APMP, Shipley, etc.
  • An understanding of different work-winning cultures and customers, with bidding experience across geographies and to a variety of customers.
  • Experience of bid library/pitch automation software systems and SharePoint.
