Senior Python Developer

There are plenty of commercial products that seemingly help you reduce your dependence on fossil fuels, but the truth is that they aren\'t as impactful as you may think.

The electric car you have purchased looks great, however the electric it runs on doesn\'t come from the cleanest of sources. That\'s because "renewable energy" isn\'t as accessible as you would think.

Luckily, we represent a business in Berlin that is trying to change this by tackling the problem at the source.

Their work is special, playing a crucial role in helping green energy suppliers tap their offerings into the world\'s energy grid.

As a Senior Python Developer, this is your opportunity to make a real difference.

The role

You will be adopting the role of a Senior Python Developer.

If you have spent your career building web apps that serve no real purpose, you might be wanting something more from your next role and what is more impactful than tackling the climate crisis?

You will use a modern tool kit (Python, Django, Flask, FastAPI, AWS etc) to engineer products that take a lot of the guess work that comes with managing green energy supplies.

Your work will build trust in renewable energy as a viable resource, improving the chances of green energy making its way to our homes.

The person

The green energy space is still relatively new so expect to learn a lot in this role despite being an experienced Python Developer.

The type of person that thrives in this environment will have the following experience:

• A realistic mind-set. You understand plans can often change and you have the skills to quickly adopt new approaches and tools to get the job done.
• 5+ Years development experience, predominantly in Python.
• Experience developing micro services using a mix of tools and frameworks: Django, Flask, FastAPI etc.
• Experience using SQL for data extraction (ETL)
• Experience building and deploying applications in a cloud environment (AWS/Azure)
