Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced QA Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on testing expertise, a solid understanding of Agile delivery, and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.



The successful candidate will be based in Northern Ireland and able to attend our Belfast office 2-3 days per week as part of our hybrid working model.


Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and execute manual test cases across multiple projects and platforms. Liaise with senior business representatives to plan, coordinate, and facilitate User Acceptance Testing Perform API testing using Postman, including validation of request/response structures and data integrity. Write and execute SQL queries (t?SQL) to validate backend proceses and perform data verification. Collaborate closely with developers, BAs, and product owners in an Agile environment to ensure high-quality deliverables. Log, track, and manage defects using industry-standard ALM tools (Jira, Azure DevOps). Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. Contribute to test planning, risk assessments, and estimation activities. Support continuous improvement of QA processes and testing practices. Leverage test automation experience and knowledge of coding languages (e.g., Java/Typescript/C#) to create and maintain automated tests using common libraries (e.g., Selenium/Playwright).

Qualifications:
Essential - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience ISTQB Foundation Desirable - Additional course or certification in Quality Assurance

Essential skills:

3-5 years' experience

in software testing or QA roles.Strong experience working within

Agile/Scrum teams

. Hands-on experience with

API testing

, ideally using

Postman

. Proficiency in

MS SQL Server

and

t?SQL

for data validation. Experience using

Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools

, such as

Jira

or

Azure DevOps

(preferably both). Exposure to at least one

test automation language/framework

(e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, etc.) Strong analytical and problem?solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
