Overview


We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS) specialising in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects to join our dynamic team.

We are offering full time or part time position (to be discussed in person).

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing cost control, overseeing financial aspects of large, medium and small-scale M&E projects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes within budget. Responsibilities



Lead and manage all financial aspects of M&E projects, including cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Oversee procurement processes, tender evaluations, and contract negotiations to optimise project costs. Monitor project expenditure and implement cost control measures to prevent overruns. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate measurement and valuation of work completed. Prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts for senior management and stakeholders. Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies related to financial management. Mentor junior QS team members, fostering professional development within the department.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor specialising in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects, with a strong focus on cost control. Extensive knowledge of construction contracts, procurement procedures, and financial management practices. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial reporting and cost analysis. Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams confidently. Relevant professional qualifications such as MRICS or equivalent are preferred but not essential. A proactive approach with problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work under pressure. Pay: 17,445.02-60,578.75 per year
