A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Quantity Surveyor




Manage the preparation of internal commercial and other reports as required Ensure the use of cost allocation/coding which satisfies both internal and external requirements Ensure that the out-turn costs on projects are monitored on a monthly basis through robust resourced and costed bottom-up forecasts Management of Cost Reports to the Client with contractually compliant supporting documentation Management of the production of material for Year End Audit Identify, mitigate and manage key risks and opportunities for a portfolio of work Ensure subcontract and material procurement schedules are prepared and updated Drafting of complex subcontracts including Professional Services Agreements

Assist in Work Winning Duties as required, including technical writing of PQQ responses The ability to consistently apply knowledge and understanding through the development and application of new skills Experience of line management, including supporting others using time management, organisational, development and IT skills Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) Will have commercially led a project.
