Lead the management and control of project costs from initial budgeting through to final accounts



Analyse tender documents, prepare detailed cost estimates, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors



Use innovative digital tools to optimise processes and improve project outcomes



Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring quality and compliance with contract requirements



Develop procurement strategies and conduct constructability reviews to streamline delivery



Manage variations, claims, and compensation events while controlling commercial risk



Deliver clear, insightful commercial reports to senior leadership and key stakeholders



Mentor and develop junior QS staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture



Play an active role in recruitment, retention, and professional development within the commercial function What You Bring



Chartered status with RICS, ICES, CIOB, or equivalent professional recognition



Proven track record in managing commercial aspects of large-scale civil engineering projects



Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence across disciplines



Strong analytical mindset with a passion for using data to drive smart commercial decisions



Experience with earned value management, risk/opportunity management, and dispute resolution



Leadership skills that inspire, develop, and empower teams to achieve excellence
