Regulatory Solicitor - Criminal Courts, Inquests & High-Profile Enforcement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide representation and day-to-day advice on regulatory matters, including:

• Health and Safety investigations and prosecutions
• Trading Standards and local authority investigations
• Product compliance and safety (food and consumer law)
• Criminal defence representation, including road traffic offences
• Environmental compliance and investigations
• Data protection and privacy
• Licensing and inquests
• Advise clients on compliance, governance, and risk management
• Deliver practical, commercial advice and help bring investigations to an early conclusion
• Handle matters across sectors such as retail, transport, and manufacturing

The Ideal Candidate

• Experienced regulatory lawyer with a strong criminal court and enforcement background - Ideally 6 PQE+
• Proven ability to manage complex investigations and high-profile cases
• Practical, commercial, and client-focused approach
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and sector-specific compliance issues
