Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Report Writer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in report writing, with experience in the social housing sector. As a Senior Report Writer, you will be one of two senior writers who will be expected to deliver highly accurate, detailed reports, ensuring all reports are written clearly and concisely, making complex research findings accessible to all clients. A critical thinker, you will be able to analyse trends in the data, providing insight from your wider knowledge of social housing to support clients in a constant drive to improve living standards for all tenants. You will also be expected to support the wider team in delivering the highest standards and supporting junior members of staff to develop within their role.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver research outputs that are visually engaging and appropriate for the intended audience in a user-friendly format, and where necessary, comply with WCAG 2,2 guidelines/Easy Read.
Ensure research adheres to high standards of ethics, data protection, and methodological rigour.
Producing research outputs to include data analysis, coding, charting and report writing.
Collaborate with the research team to analyse data collected through surveys, interviews, and various research methods.
Ensure all reports are written clearly and concisely, making complex research findings accessible to all clients.
Reviewing and editing reports to ensure accuracy and coherence. Ensure reports incorporate relevant and accurate charts, graphs, and tables to represent the data visually.
Customise, edit and review reports to ensure they meet client requirements and preferences and adhere to specific client standards.
Ensure the research team works within agreed project timelines to deliver reports to clients according to deadlines.
Responsible for maintaining all documentation related to the report writing process, including data sources and analysis methodologies.
Conduct quality checks on junior colleagues' work and client dashboards to maintain high standards and accuracy.
Help data lead to train up new members of the team in terms of high-quality outputs and housing sector knowledge.
Be the lead on producing the Tenant Satisfaction Measure Data Return on an annual basis to clients who require support.
Work with the data team to automate the return process (where applicable).
Responsible for validating the report results and being the main point of contact for client queries.
Stay updated on best practices in report writing and data visualisation to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of reports.
Understand and use multiple research methodologies - CATI, online, SMS, postal and digital.
Work to MRS standards.
Present reports to clients, face-to-face and remotely, on behalf of the Directors / Client Managers when needed.
Work collaboratively with all departments to ensure the company remains GDPR compliant.
Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested from time to time.

Skills, Educations & Experience
Required
Excellent written, grammatical and numerical skills
Professional experience of market/customer research.
Minimum two years of experience working in a social housing provider.
Highly experienced in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in report writing and data analysis, with a keen eye for detail.
Inquisitive and curious, with an eagerness to explore new tasks and opportunities.
Data analysis skills with a background in statistics, capable of analysing quantitative and qualitative data.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
A critical thinker who is able to add insight and dig deeper into project findings.
Methodical and driven with an eye for detail.
Creative outlook and forward-thinking - excited to develop and share new ideas.
Bachelor's degree (or relevant experience) in a relevant field such as social sciences, economics, or urban studies or professional level qualifications
Self-motivated - ability to prioritise work and work independently from home
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in writing and proofreading copy.
Design skills with experience using software such as Canva or similar.
Solid understanding of GDPR and data protection. Also, EDI in the workplace.
Flexible and adaptable.
Knowledge of MRS guidelines.
