The role

We are seeking to recruit a Senior Research Associate to work on public health projects in the Centre for Public Health. These projects will focus on Public Health Improvement including physical activity, active travel and public mental health. The post will require a range of research skills including reviewing literature, the collection, management and analysis of qualitative data, systems mapping, some quantitative analysis and preparing findings for publication and dissemination to academic, practice and public audiences. The appointed candidate will be expected to work on their own initiative, seeking guidance and advice where necessary from team members. They will have autonomy and freedom to act independently within organisational policies and will need to take a high level of responsibility.


Hybrid working is available: a minimum of 2 days per week on campus.

You should apply if

You have experience in applied public health research. Experience of working in applied settings and a background in public health improvement would be very helpful. You have excellent organisational and communication skills, and an ability to multi-task.
