Located in the heart of Mayfair, The Arts Club is one of London's oldest private members' clubs a home to a community of members with a passion for the creative arts, literature, and business. From distinguished art exhibitions to fine dining, live music, and an exceptional programme of events for members, the club remains at the heart of contemporary cultural life in London.


We are currently looking for a highly motivated Senior Reservationist to join our growing team in London.


The Senior Reservationist is expected to fulfill a 45-hour work week spread across 5 days, with 2 days off.

Key Responsibilities



Member & Guest Service



Provide exceptional customer service at all times, handling enquiries by phone and email with professionalism and warmth. Ensure strong member recognition and respond promptly to reasonable member requests. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Club's music programme, art, and member events to maximise booking opportunities.

Reservations Management



Answer and manage all reservation calls, maximising covers and achieving daily targets. Manage bookings including cancellations and no-shows in line with policy. Allocate tables and prepare daily booking and guest list reports for Front of House teams. Organise large party bookings, pre-orders, and function sheets, liaising with relevant departments. Record and action waiting lists, cancellations, and refusals with accurate reasons and follow-up.

Operational Support



Liaise with Membership, Private Events and Finance Team to ensure accurate recording of business and adherence to agreed pricing strategies. Assist with lost property and lost credit card processes, escalating where required. Monitor and control stationary stock, communicating needs to Purchasing. Provide cover for the main reception desk when needed.

Compliance & Standards



Adhere to all Club policies, licensing laws, fire, health & safety and security Maintain high standards of dress, appearance, and hygiene in line with Company standards. Attend training sessions, meetings, and contribute positively to team discussions. Work in a safe manner, reporting any risks immediately to management.

Teamwork & Contribution



Support colleagues across departments to meet service and operational needs. Suggest improvements to processes, service, and Club operations to your manager. Take ownership of personal development in liaison with the Head of Reception and Head of Reservations.

Qualifications & Key Competencies






Previous experience in a reservations, reception, or front-of-house role within hospitality, luxury, or membership environments (preferred). Strong IT skills with knowledge of reservations systems (Sevenrooms desirable). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to interact in a clear, warm, and professional manner across phone, email, and face-to-face channels. Proven ability to handle guest enquiries and manage bookings with accuracy and efficiency. Strong organisational skills with a focus on accuracy in managing multiple bookings and administrative tasks. Demonstrated customer focus, consistently delivering exceptional service and member recognition. Collaborative approach, working effectively with colleagues across departments and offering support beyond core duties. Adaptable and calm under pressure, with flexibility to manage last-minute changes and member needs. Proactive problem-solving skills, with the judgment to resolve issues or escalate when appropriate. Knowledge of hospitality standards, health & safety, and compliance procedures. Professional in conduct, appearance, confidentiality, and overall standards of service.
