We provide a salary of between 32,973.84 and 34,074.12 per year and this includes a sleep-in allowance. You will be required to work 173 hours per month which is 11 shifts and 11 sleep ins. All additional training and team meetings will be required as extra if you are not on shift on these days.

Job Purpose:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Residential Support worker to work at our home in Alton, Staffordshire.
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting individuals with varying needs, ensuring they receive the care and support necessary to enhance their quality of life. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for helping others, and the ability to work collaboratively with both clients and team members. To promote the welfare, safety, personal development and well-being of young people being cared for by Vitality Care Residential.
To ensure that the physical, emotional and psychological needs of the young people are met where at all possible.
To participate in the day-to-day operation of the service provided in accordance with the organisational guidelines and objectives.
To create within the home, a normal domestic and nurturing environment for the young people in Vitality care.
Within this leadership role you will be responsible for staff supervision, leading shifts, policies, procedures, risk assessments, rotas, and ensuring that placement plans are followed and education is supported.
Interact and engage in visual and over the phone contact for the young people with families.

Requirements
To hold Diploma Level 3 for Children's and Young People's Workforce (Social Care Pathway) or equivalent children's home qualification.
To have a minimum of 1 year's residential experience working with vulnerable children and young people.
You will be required to start at 7.30am until 23.00 and work on a two on four off pattern where possible. You will be required to sleep in the home overnight.
About the Company
Vitality Care Residential works with Gateway Psychology Services Ltd to ensure that all staff are provided with adequate training to provide the young people with a therapeutic approach to meet the young person's individual needs. However, we also ensure that staff have the support from a psychologist for one-to-one support in the role.
We follow the PACE model - Playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy to meet the young people's needs. We also provide an Art Psychotherapist to work with the young people on a weekly basis.
