Overview
We are seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker, you must have a passion and commitment for working with children and young people and making a positive difference to their lives. You will be experienced in this field to join our team, we will provide you with an excellent training programme and also we will offer you development so that you can progress with your career.
You will be responsible for working with the Manager in a children's home, along with building and developing relationships with our young people and to encourage them to participate fully in opportunities offered within our homes, along with supporting them to complete everyday tasks. In addition you will also be building up positive working relationships with external stakeholders. You will also be working with other staff members and providing the highest standards of care for our young people in our settings. You will ensure that record keeping and administration requirements of the team are met, this can include care plans, along with risk assessments and other required documentation.
We are looking for:
The ability to work shifts (07.00am to 23.00pm) and sleep ins.
Have an understanding of the relevant legislation relating to the care of young people, experienced of working within a residential setting, experienced of working with young people that have emotional and behavioural disorders, and, or learning disabilities.
A diploma in residential childcare (or equivalent) at level 3 or level 4.
Applicants must be over the age of 21.
Have a full UK driving licence (required).
Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship at this moment in time).
The post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of the police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
