Team Leader/Senior - Children's Residential Care Home
Location: Morecambe, United Kingdom Full-time | Permanent Salary: 14.60 Per Hour Shifts: Rotational (including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins)

The Role
As
Team Leader
, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the home. You will support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in leading a team of Residential Support Workers, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead shifts and ensure consistent, child-centred care
Supervise, coach and support staff, including contributing to performance appraisals
Support the development and implementation of care plans
Manage incidents and safeguarding concerns in line with policy
Promote positive routines, boundaries, and aspirations for young people
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and organisational policies
Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of care practices.
Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and external professionals.
What We're Looking For:
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential* At least 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting
Previous experience supervising or mentoring staff - preferred* Excellent communication, leadership and decision-making skills
A commitment to safeguarding and child development
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in duties
