About the Role
My client is leading the UK's Nuclear New Build Programme, constructing new nuclear power stations at Hinkley Point C (Somerset) and Sizewell C (Suffolk).
We are looking for a
Senior Risk Analyst
to join the Integrated Project Controls (Risk) team, acting as a technical lead and ensuring risk processes, reporting, and frameworks are implemented consistently across the HPC project. You'll provide expert insights, support decision-making, and guide Risk Analysts and Trainees while working with multi-disciplinary teams on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead risk management activities within your assigned programme/area, ensuring accurate and timely risk and opportunity reporting.
Provide expert analysis and assurance of risk data to support project delivery.
Facilitate workshops, scenario planning, and risk reviews with stakeholders.
Collaborate with project controls teams to ensure risk information informs schedule and cost forecasts.
Produce and present insightful reporting for senior stakeholders, programme reviews, and board meetings.
Coach, guide, and support junior team members and wider project colleagues in risk management processes and tools.
About You
Proven expertise in
risk management and project controls
with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Skilled at communicating complex insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in a project management environment (construction or nuclear industry experience desirable).
Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to influence and assure high-quality outputs.
Experience using
ARM, Safran, Power BI, and Microsoft Office tools
.
Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in project management, engineering, or related field.
Professional qualifications in risk management/project controls (e.g. MoR Practitioner, APM Risk Level 2) are desirable.
