Ocean Infinity is seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer to design, develop and integrate cutting-edge robotic control systems across our fleet of uncrewed marine vessels. This is a senior technical role within our growing Robotics team, offering a blend of hands-on engineering, system-level architecture, and mentoring responsibilities.
As a Senior Robotics Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping how our next-generation robotics software is built, deployed, and supported across real-world maritime operations.
What will you do:Design, develop, and maintain control and automation software for advanced robotic and uncrewed marine systems; Own and deliver high-quality, reliable software components for robotic control systems, including motion control, navigation, and system integration; Collaborate closely with other engineers, product owners, and operational teams to translate real-world needs into resilient software solutions; Contribute to and uphold best practices in software development, testing, and documentation; Support integration of control systems onboard vessels and participate in field trials and deployments as needed; Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement; Participate in code reviews, agile sprints, and team discussions to help shape solutions collaboratively; Contribute to Ocean Infinity's continuous improvement goals and uphold high safety and environmental standards.

Who You Are:A degree-qualified engineer in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related discipline; 7+ years' experience in robotics, embedded systems, or control software development; Highly proficient in C++ with experience in real-time or mission-critical systems; Familiar with robotic frameworks such as ROS, LCM or DDS and GUI frameworks such as Qt (preferred but not required); Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-trust team environment A strong communicator who enjoys solving cross-disciplinary problems; Willing to travel domestically and internationally to support system integration and testing.

Desirable Skills:Offshore experience; Experience developing for marine, subsea, or offshore systems; Exposure to automation frameworks (ansible) and continuous delivery; Familiarity with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and agile workflows; Knowledge of safety, quality, or HSE systems in engineering environments.

Salary for this position: Up to 65,000 per annum.
Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
