The Senior Rope Access Stores Operative is required to oversee and maintain all rope access equipment, PPE, and site kits for projects, ensuring proper storage, maintenance, and compliance with industry standards like IRATA and LOLER regulations.
Key duties include warehouse management, equipment inspections and servicing, inventory control, preparing job-specific kits, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating logistics for site deliveries and collections
Applicant should be experienced in all aspects of rope access equipment maintenance and inspection and hold current certification in PPE Inspection. Personal Fall Protection Equipment Training and a full UK Driving license is essential.
Responsibilities - Assist with the implementation of goals and objectives for the rope access stores with a view to providing for a more effective and efficient way of working
Responsible for the review and upkeep of the rope access vendors list ensuring that as a business we remain commercially aligned with our competitors
Provide input into rope access processes and procedures to ensure compliance with our IRATA accreditation
Responsible for the upkeep and weekly distribution of the rope access equipment tracker and coordination with the relevant project personnel as to amendments
Responsible for full inventory management and assuring that at all times there is enough rope access equipment located within the stores to support ongoing/upcoming rope access operations
Engage with projects as the Senior Rope Access Stores Operative to provide guidance on equipment, its durability, and suitability, in support of rope access operations
Carry out cleaning of equipment to allow for detailed visual examinations in accordance with legislative (LOLER) requirements
Maintain knowledge of requirements as detailed within the IRATA International Code of Practice with regards to equipment suitability, selection, cleaning and inspections
Be familiar with various types of rope access equipment and governing EN standards
Ensure compliance with the PD&MS rope access management system and its processes for recording and reporting on equipment
Control all materials in and out of the main store and other locations, including unloading/loading of deliveries
Ensure delivery of materials to various site locations
Control rope access equipment including inspections, documentation, and control of quarantined items
Assist in the ordering of equipment, PPE, and taking control of stock
Oversee collection and control of delivery documentation/ inspection certificates to ensure receipt of correctly ordered items.

Update software/documentation; materials are receipted, stored appropriately, bagged, tagged and issued in accordance with Company policies, procedures and in compliance with all QHSE and any legislative requirement
About You
Qualifications
Educated to standard grade level or equivalent, with passes in Math & English
Experience / Competence
Thorough understanding of maintenance and inspection processes, procedures, and governing legislation (e.g. PUWER, LOLER etc.)
Personal Fall Protection Equipment Training (PFPE) is essential
Awareness of the application of COSHH legislation
Manual Handling Training
Previous experience of rope access stores management / coordination and record keeping in line with Industry / Applicable standards
Lyon PPE Certification
Previous experience in a similar role
Competent in the use of applicable software packages
Excellent written and spoken English
Industry experience, Oil & Gas preferable
Working at Height Training preferable
