Their clients include local authorities, council housing, schools, NHS facilities, and higher education buildings. The Role We are recruiting for a dynamic Senior Business Development Manager to secure and manage large-value, long-term consultancy deals within the public sector. This is initially a senior individual contributor position that will transition into a player-manager role. You will be responsible for managing your own high-value deals while also supporting and assisting your team members.Key Responsibilities:Drive new business development with public sector organisations (local authorities, NHS, Education, etc.).Target and secure large-value, long-term contracts, and nurture client relationshipsManage the sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation and close.Transition into a player-manager capacity, guiding and supporting other team members in their sales efforts.Maintain a presence in the field, with site visits and client meetings.What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in selling statutory compliance or related services ideally within the public sector.Essential Experience & Skills:Extensive experience with statutory compliance and regulatory requirements.Demonstrable success in securing and managing large-value, long-term consultancy deals.Proven ability to navigate the sales environment of the public sector.Highly valued experience in the retrofitting of buildings to specific compliance standards.
