The Role

We are seeking a highly capable

Senior Sales Design Engineer (HVAC)

to join our design and engineering team. This role will be responsible for producing detailed HVAC design packages and tender proposals on large-scale and technically demanding projects. You will contribute to the development of compliant, cost-effective, and energy-efficient solutions -- ensuring design integration, buildability, and performance are maintained from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design activities for HVAC and building services projects Prepare detailed layouts, schematics, schedules, and specifications using Cosaf's specialist software alongside industry recognized platforms such as AutoCAD Conduct mechanical calculations, including air flows requirements, pipe/duct sizing etc. Liaise with clients from incoming leads through to surveys and tender submittals to ensure design intent and coordination Provide clear, concise scope of works handovers to the projects team after Cosaf are successful in tender Ensure full compliance with current regulations, including CIBSE and British Standards Support the projects team on design queries where necessary

Requirements

Solid experience in mechanical design for HVAC/building services - Essential Strong understanding of industrial and commercial HVAC systems and compliance frameworks Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory) Excellent technical reporting and documentation skills Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services not essential but preferred Clear communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
