About the role
The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team generating innovative antibody engineering solutions for new drug candidates. These might include monoclonal and bispecific antibodies and novel molecular entities.
This exciting role is based in the UK at our world class research centre in Slough/Windlesham which has an established pedigree for drug discovery and antibody engineering within the Antibody and Novel Therapeutics department.
Who you'll work with
Reporting to the Senior Director in the Antibody and Novel Therapeutics department, you'll collaborate across the UK research site.
What you'll do
As a senior laboratory-based research scientist, you will contribute to the development of ideas to support new therapeutic molecules from inception to project delivery whilst demonstrating molecule 'manufacturability'. This will involve the production of proteins, development and implementation of new assays, generation of experimental data to construct the reason to believe and building confidence around new molecules and novel antibody related concepts.
Interested? For this role you'll need the following education, experience and skills
A multiskilled lab-based protein scientist with a PhD or industrial experience in a relevant biological discipline.
A deep understanding of antibodies, their structures and functions.
Experience in protein/antibody production (MolBiol, Expression, Purification, QC), analytical assays for characterisation of proteins/antibodies.
Experience in cell assays (some of binding, signalling, reporter, complex, flow cytometry, in cell lines or primary cells) is beneficial.
Knowledge of software would be desirable, GraphPad, Pymol, Snapgene, ELN.
Experience with publications or presentations advantageous.
