JOB TITLE: Senior Security Operator
SALARY: 32,395-
shift allowance + 625pm
LOCATION(S):Sighthill North, Edinburgh
HOURS
: 35 hours a week - shift = split over 7 days on rotation, 12hour shifts, days, nights and weekends.
WORKING PATTERN
: Due to the nature of this role its 100% office based.

At the Physical Security Operations Centre, we provide 24/7 support to colleagues across the Group, ensuring the safety of our people, customers, and premises. As a valued team member, you'll bring your expertise in alarm monitoring and incident response to the forefront, while also playing a key role in providing support and guidance and delivering continuous improvement at pace.
This role is based in our Physical Security Operations Centre, where you'll be responsible for a diverse range of activities, including alarm monitoring, incident response, access control, governance, providing advice on security procedures, remotely fixing faults on security equipment, or getting an engineer out to fix the problem. Communication is key as you'll be speaking to colleagues, suppliers, and the emergency services when responding to security incidents. You'll also be involved in delivering change, maintaining quality assurance checks, and updating procedures.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Leading a team to deliver excellent service to our customers, providing feedback and guidance
Monitoring alarms and being ready to respond to security incidents.
Remotely fixing faults on security equipment or coordinating with engineers to resolve issues.
Providing support and guidance over the telephone and by email
Understanding access control systems and processes
Problem-solving and paying excellent attention to detail.
Reviewing and updating playbooks and undertaking quality checks
Playing a vital role in delivering change at pace in an agile way
Being initiative-taking in your approach to personal development and learning

What you'll need
Fantastic customer service skills, over the phone or online
