This senior-level role combines

hands-on SEO strategy

with

client account leadership

. You'll manage a portfolio of client accounts, guiding strategy and communication, while executing advanced SEO techniques across technical, on-page, content, and off-site areas.

You'll also play a key role in advancing Atomic's capabilities in

AI-enhanced SEO

, including both content generation (AIO) and visibility within

AI-powered search ecosystems

(AI-SO). Your expertise will ensure our clients stay ahead of shifts in user behaviour, SERP formats, and AI-influenced discovery models.

Key Responsibilities



Client & Account Management



Serve as the main point of contact for assigned SEO clients, ensuring consistent delivery, clear communication, and measurable outcomes. Lead client calls, performance reviews, and strategic planning sessions. Set and manage expectations around timelines, deliverables, and results. Educate clients on the value of SEO, emerging AI search trends, and performance metrics.

SEO Strategy & Execution



Conduct thorough keyword research to uncover new opportunities and content gaps. Perform on-page audits and implement optimisations based on site structure, content hierarchy, and search intent. Write or commission

high-quality SEO-optimised content

aligned with organic growth objectives. Support link acquisition and off-site efforts through ethical outreach and relationship-building. Oversee and guide technical SEO improvements, structured data implementation, and Core Web Vitals compliance.

AI-Enhanced & Future-Focused SEO



Lead the integration of

AI tools

(e.g., ChatGPT, SurferSEO, NeuronWriter) to streamline content ideation and optimisation workflows. Develop strategies for visibility across

AI-powered search platforms

(AI-SO), including: Featured snippets and summarisation models Structured content designed for conversational AI engines Voice search and zero-click visibility Track algorithm updates and search innovations, particularly those relating to LLM-based discovery and intent shifts.

Performance Reporting



Use tools like GA4, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Looker Studio to monitor SEO performance. Analyse results, identify opportunities for growth, and translate findings into clear client-facing reports. Adjust strategies dynamically based on insights and industry developments.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Technology, or related field (preferred but not essential) 5+ years in hands-on SEO, with a strong portfolio of campaign successes. Experience managing SEO clients or acting as an account lead in an agency or fast-paced consultancy. Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimisation, content strategy, and authority building. Excellent communication skills with the ability to distil complex information into actionable insights. Familiarity with AI tools and workflows relevant to SEO and digital content production. A clear perspective on AI search trends and the future of SEO in an LLM-dominated search environment.
