The role


The Utilities Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of utilities provision across developments, including new connections, diversions, disconnections, metering, legal processes, and ongoing support to site and office teams. This role ensures the timely and efficient delivery of utilities services in line with project requirements, whilst maintaining strong collaboration with internal stakeholders, external providers, and legal representatives.



Key Responsibilities


Coordinate all disconnections, diversions, and off-site works. Arrange new services requirements including service trenches, landlord (LL) requirements, meter arrangements (single-phase, three-phase, CT meters), EV charging arrangements, meter locations, TBS requirements, and utilities across water, gas, electricity, and communications (e.g., Openreach, Hyperoptic). Obtain quotations and manage tender processes for utility works. Arrange and secure design approvals, confirming routes, meter locations, points of connection (POC), build sequence, and infrastructure placement (e.g., comms chambers, easements). Provide comprehensive service files to site teams. Work with solicitors to arrange and complete legal agreements and documentation relating to utilities. Organise pre-site start meetings with relevant parties. Arrange MPANs and MPRNs, and register with meter suppliers. Manage meter contracts (including LLs, EV, TBS), renewals, and disconnections as required. Oversee remedial works required for adoption of services. Liaise with customer services, estates, and accounts teams to support operational requirements. Support land and planning teams with utility-related information for potential new sites. Assist site teams with escalations and attend site meetings as required. Coordinate and process utility invoices, ensuring timely payment in line with company procedures. Experience required


Strong knowledge of utility connections (water, gas, electricity, telecoms) and metering arrangements. Experience in coordinating with utility providers, solicitors, and contractors. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Good commercial awareness with experience in quotations, tenders, and invoice processing. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across departments. Why join us?
