We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT and systems engineering, with expertise in developing and implementing ServiceNow solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of system architecture and design, as well as proficiency in various programming languages and technologies. As a ServiceNow Developer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our IT service management processes and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
Duties
Develop, configure, and customise ServiceNow applications to meet business requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Design and implement system architecture for ServiceNow solutions, ensuring scalability and performance.
Integrate ServiceNow with other platforms using REST APIs, SOAP, and web services.
Conduct debugging and troubleshooting of applications to resolve issues efficiently.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including continuous integration practices.
Maintain documentation for system design, configuration changes, and deployment processes.
Ensure compliance with information security standards while managing data within ServiceNow.
Provide support for system administration tasks related to ServiceNow and associated technologies.
Qualifications
Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, C#, Ruby on Rails, or Java.
Strong knowledge of databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or NoSQL solutions.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is advantageous.
Experience with operating systems including Windows, Linux, UNIX, or VMware environments.
Understanding of computer networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes is preferred.
Familiarity with system design principles including service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices architecture.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
