As a Senior Services Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a range of services for use by the whole development team. You will work with Gameplay teams to deliver and deploy services that integrates with online gameplay features, looking for ways to improve our own in-house multiplayer tech-stack systems.
Key Duties

  • Working closely with the design and technical teams to implement robust and scalable online services
  • Produce clean and robust code, following all standards and guidelines, including automated testing and deployment processes
  • Establish online service features such as matchmaking, friends, and commerce
  • Contribute towards development, maintenance and deployment of live service code base
  • Implement live service features considering performance & scalability
  • Work alongside other disciplines (design, art, production) to gather requirements for live service features
  • Pro-actively seek opportunities to improve the quality of everything we do
  • Actively take part in our collaborative and creative team spirit
  • Support and train less experienced engineers
Requirements
  • Experience in Node.js and TypeScript
  • Strong engineering skills, including code architecture design, debugging, and optimisation
  • Knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Microservices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to plan and meet scheduled goals
  • Work effectively and independently with minimum guidance and support
  • Passion for gaming and game development
  • Experience in C++ or Node Native Addon development - Desirable
  • Experience in Unreal Engine 4 or 5 on a shipped game title - Desirable
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure - Desirable
  • Experience with LiveOps/DevOps pipelines - Desirable
