Shift Supervisor

to join our growing operations team.

What You'll Be Doing:

As Shift Supervisor, you'll be the go-to person on the factory floor during your shift -- a key link between senior management and production teams. You'll lead from the front, ensuring your shift runs like a well-oiled machine. You'll manage people, solve problems in real time, and make sure the day-to-day operation delivers on quality, safety, and efficiency.

Your role will include:

Managing and motivating a team of operators across key departments - pressing, assembly, wrapping, packing and dispatch Driving shift productivity to meet daily KPIs and production targets without compromising on quality Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety procedures - you'll be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and setting high standards for others to follow Supporting and developing team members, including conducting toolbox talks, performance discussions and basic training Proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimise downtime and improve flow Coordinating shift handovers, ensuring clear communication between shifts and departments Working closely with the Factory Manager, Planning, Maintenance and QA teams to ensure smooth daily operations Completing accurate shift reports and documentation - strong attention to detail is a must

What You'll Bring to the Table:

Ideally, you'll have:

Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment A background in furniture, joinery, or kitchen/bedroom component manufacturing is a major plus Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, challenge and support team members Good working knowledge of quality standards, health & safety practices, and lean production principles A calm, structured approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution Solid IT literacy - basic understanding of production software and Microsoft Office tools A flexible approach to shift patterns and willingness to go the extra mile when needed
