Job Overview

We are looking for a experienced self sufficient senior site based engineer for a new site near Crawley. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in civil engineering and construction management to contribute to a new exciting highways extension project.

Drainage Kerbs Road build up construction Sheet pile installation Utilities Temporary works through out
As a senior engineer you will be required to confidently carry out all the setting out required on site and be able to provide solutions to issues that may arise. Using your experience, help to plan the sequence of works and provide an input into the site decision making. There is an element of temporary works throughout the scope of works so a good understanding with in this subject and holding of a TWC/TWS certificate is desired.

There is a requirement for you to have your own laptop and CAD software's. Own kit is desired but not essential.

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. Accurately mark out and survey all works on site ensuring attention to detail and precision is maintained. Review technical drawings, design specifications and construction documents to ensure accuracy and feasibility. Monitor progress on-site, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective measures promptly.

Skills

Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD software. Experience in the use of setting out equipment such as Leica TS16 or similar. Able to analyse drawings and specifications to highlight any potential issues. Effective communication skills for liaising with multidisciplinary teams and clients. TWC/TWS experience.
