Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Site Planning Manager with proven, demonstrable experience and a successful track record within supply chain planning processes.





The role encompasses the creation and maintenance of planning business strategy using MRP 2 methodologies to meet agreed critical business targets. A key part of this is the Sales, Inventory and Operational Planning process including capacity planning, resource and capital deployment, master production schedule ownership, and performance measurement of all processes within.





This role is site based at our Filton location.

How You'll Contribute

The site Planning Manager will be responsible for the following:



Line management and leadership of 6 Master Schedulers Ensure through due process, the site has appropriate levels of manpower, capital equipment, and sourcing solutions in place to discharge committed workload Improve management of customer demand and subsequent load, to ensure repeatable and consistent delivery from both the internal and external supply chain Process improvement and elimination of waste amongst planning processes and procedures Guarantee lead times for all deliverables and repeatability in delivery performance Ensure only formal systems are employed in the discharge of workload Ensure that manufacturing is governed by a robust and realistic schedule Respond to requests for scenario and series plans including new product introduction Setting the standards in terms of leadership behaviours, performance management systems, and personal integrity for others to follow Managing all processes using lean principles, tools and techniques Ensure resolution of root causes of systematic problems effecting the site from a planning perspective Fully accountable for all aspects of Inventory and Operations Planning process, including inventory, demand management, and logistics Compliance with all risk assessments and company Environment, Health & Safety Procedures relevant to all work activities. Reporting of all accidents and near misses as per the company's procedure and implementation of identified corrective actions. Maintain good standards of housekeeping in designated work area(s) Champion "Export Control" compliance activities, ensuring you and where applicable, members of your team, adhere to the site "Technology Control Plan (TCP), guaranteeing compliance with Export Control Regulations, controls, training and systems, guaranteeing compliance with Export Control Regulations, controls, training and systems

Considerable previous experience, demonstrating a successful track record within supply chain planning processed Experience of SAP Knowledge and experience of capacity planning, Inventory and Operations planning processes Knowledge and experience of manufacturing and finance systems An excellent problem-solver

Desirable





APICS CPIM [Certified in Production and Inventory management] A relevant Production Control qualification would be a distinct advantage. An appreciation of lean manufacturing principles would be an advantage. Excellent leadership, people-management, and problem-solving skills. An understanding of financial control systems and their implications. The ability to demonstrate core competencies required at this operating level within the Resource family, in particular, 2-Way Communication, Drive & Commitment, Innovation & Problem-solving, Motivation & Support, Direction & Purpose, and Customer Focus. Ability to coach, mentor and facilitate planning management team members to ensure successful integration of current and future projects
