Senior Social Worker - Children Looked After, Court and Leaving Care
Role: Senior Social Worker | Location: Sutton |Team: Children Looked After, Court and Leaving Care
Pay: 39.04 per hour |Contract: Locum
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled Senior Social Worker to join the Children Looked After, Court and Leaving Care Service in Sutton.
Our mission is to provide children and young people with the stability, care, and support they need to thrive - empowering them to achieve their aspirations and live as independently as possible. As part of this supportive and dynamic service, you'll play a key role in achieving positive outcomes for children and young people in care.
Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake and manage care proceedings and associated court work
• Assess the needs and circumstances of children in corporate care
• Develop and review robust care plans that promote safety, stability, and development
• Advocate for children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are upheld
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies
• Promote placement stability, permanency planning, and successful transitions to adulthood

What You'll Need:

• Social Work England registration
• Social Work qualification
• Significant post-qualified experience within statutory children's services
• Strong care planning, assessment, and court work experience
• Excellent communication and partnership-working skills
• Commitment to strengths-based, relationship-focused practice
