We are looking for 2x Senior Social Workers with experience working with families and children who have suffered Domestic Abuse. The post holders will support the Social Care Teams in delivering good outcomes for Children impacted by DA and support in the delivery of the CYPS Domestic Abuse Delivery Model Action Plan. The SSW's will also support in mentoring and coaching our Children and Young Peoples Domestic Violence Advisors (CIDVA) to offer a menu of opportunities for our children impacted by DA. The post holder will also have responsibility of case holding the most complex DA cases.

Overall purpose of the job:
1. To have responsibility for a caseload of more complex cases, particularly domestic abuse (Domestic Abuse), within the team and demonstrate appropriate initiative commensurate to the skills and knowledge required for the post consistently applying high standards to deliver good outcomes for children impacted by DA.
2. To support in the delivery of the CYPS Domestic Abuse Delivery Model Action Plan, prioritising to embed a trauma-responsive, systemic, relational and anti-oppressive domestic abuse response within CYPS, that is co-ordinated across services and accessible to all children and families.
3. To be responsible for the supervision of student social workers in the role of Practice Educator.
4. To support other practitioners in the team through mentoring, coaching, advice, and shadowing on visits or in meetings.
5. Take the lead in managing positive interventions that prevent deterioration in health and wellbeing whilst safeguarding people at risk of abuse or neglect.
6. To contribute to and support the Newham Together Vision including the implementation of our Strategic Improvement Plan for Children's Services, the Children and Young People's plan and Domestic Abuse Delivery Model Action Plan.
7. To deliver a restorative, relational approach to practice and supervision, utilising systemic tools and interventions within the Newham Together Practice Framework
8. To deliver and embed our restorative approach to building an organisational culture where social work can flourish.
9. To be an active member of the team, to work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to achieve our service plans and priorities around Domestic Abuse.
10. To champion our priorities and obsessions to improve the lives of children families and care leavers
