This role is for an experienced Software Integration Engineer within the Software Group in Assisted and Automated Driving (AAD). This is a critical for delivering AAD technologies across multiple present and future Model Years.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The Integration Team is organized as an agile team specialized in integrating software components in complex systems, ensuring software is configured correctly, and building and automated regression testing is performed regularly, accurately and provides good visibility to project stakeholders. Please see below an overview of what to expect:

  • The incremental integration and testing of software components and/or software products and their interfaces and integration of software products into existing software environments to produce new platform-specific versions of the Software Products.
  • Support delivery of software and sub-systems within ADAS across the range of JLR vehicles.
  • Assist and contribute to the generation of targets and verification methods that are driven by Customer, Function Requirements and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the area onto all programmes, in line with the JLR Engineering discipline outlined by Product Creation Systems and the Software Delivery Process through robust delivery of commodity driven software.
  • Provide technical support and assistance across the operational team on topics relating to the integration and harmonisation of multiple interconnected components including issue resolution and objective data analysis.
  • Simplify and stabilize build and release process through CI pipeline and define long-term CI improvement plan and bring it to life.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
This Software Integration Engineer role in Assisted and Automated Driving focuses on integrating and configuring software components in complex systems while ensuring accurate automated regression testing for multiple current and future model years.
  • Good relevant experience of working in a Commodity Delivery and Software Engineering environment - ideally within the Automotive Sector.
  • Experience in software integration working on entire ECU rather than at just component level.
  • Strong experience in building pipelines with Git or CMAKE.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ADAS or AAD.
  • Understanding of a Model Based Language such as SysML.
  • Relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance.
