Senior Software Developer - Cross Domain

An innovative defence organisation in Yeovil are actively looking for a Senior Software Developer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Software Developer, you will lead a moderate-sized team of software developers and play a pivotal role in designing technical solutions, software development, and ensuring the highest software quality standards are maintained.

Senior Software Developer Responsibilities:

• Innovate and design technical solutions, taking the lead in software development and testing.
• Ensure rigorous adherence to project processes and industry-standard software development practices.
• Support system test and integration activities to uphold robustness and reliability.
• Create detailed technical documentation to facilitate seamless communication within the team.
• Generate and manage requirements, aligning development efforts with project objectives.
• Provide accurate progress reports to stakeholders, keeping them informed of project status.
• Lead and guide a moderate-sized team of software developers, overseeing their deliverables.
• Plan, schedule, assign, and review tasks to optimise productivity.
• Mentor junior staff in software development, fostering their growth and skills development.

Senior Software Developer Skills and Experiences:

• Extensive experience in C++ development, showcasing your advanced skills.
• Familiarity with modern libraries, including STL, Apache libraries (e.g., NiFi).
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Development experience in either Linux or Windows environments.
• Experience with defect tracking software, with a preference for JIRA.
• Knowledge of distributed version control systems.
• Familiarity with automated build and continuous integration suites.

Senior Software Developer Benefits:

• Base Salary \xc2\xa345,000-55,000 (dependant on skill set and experience)
