Job Description

Cosoft is a dynamic agency and software house composed of web developers and software developers, based in Lewes, just outside of Brighton. We are currently looking for an experienced software developer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant development experience to join our team.

As a software developer at Cosoft, you will be working on a mixture of client development projects and our own SaaS applications. You will collaborate closely with a team of developers, designers, and stakeholders to build robust and scalable applications using various technologies. While we frequently use a Laravel backend with a React frontend, we also work with Node and Python, adapting to different project needs and leveraging emerging technologies. Recently, we have deployed software using Docker images to Google Cloud Run.

Technologies We Work With:


- PHP Laravel
- React and React Native
- Node.js
- Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, etc.)
- GitLab CI/CD
- ChatGPT API

You will be expected to engage with both clients and colleagues throughout the development process, ensuring high-quality software solutions that align with business goals.

Required Skills:


- Minimum 5 years of experience as a software developer
- Proficiency in CSS, HTML, PHP, and JavaScript
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- A proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative and work independently when required
- Excellent time management skills

Desirable Skills:


- Experience with React, React Native, and Laravel
- Knowledge of the technology sector
- Experience in WordPress development
- Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git)

Your Responsibilities Will Include:


- Collaborating with the development team and Cosoft's clients to deliver high-quality applications that meet business objectives
- Developing applications using React
- Creating and consuming REST APIs
- Working alongside designers and developers to create engaging online experiences
- Writing automated unit tests to ensure software quality
