Job Description
Our client, a growing financial services company, is actively recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer (AWS) to join them on a contract basis, initially for 6 months.
This role sits within a new team in the business and will have a significant impact across the organisation.
The successful Senior Software Engineer (AWS) will have the following responsibilities:
- Working on a major transformation project across the business, building new services and capabilities
- Acting as a senior member of the team and upskilling other team members
- Defining standards within work processes, constantly identifying areas of potential improvement
- Driving requirement refining, design and development across new services
- Defining and building CI/CD pipelines
- Working with Unit Testing, Static Code analysis, automation testing within AWS
- Extensive experience with AWS services including (but not limited to) API Gateway, Lambda, StepFunction, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Cognito, Amplify, S3, EventBridge, SNS and SQS
- Automation experience with Python
- Azure DevOps experience
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience in financial services or similar professional environments
