The Role: Senior Software Engineer (Frontend facing)

Pimloc is recruiting for a Senior Software Developer with a frontend focus to help build its React.js-based video and audio editing software. This role will primarily involve working in JavaScript to develop cutting-edge, AI-driven tools for video and audio editing.
You'll work closely with RESTful APIs and a microservice backend, playing a critical role in bringing Secure Redact's powerful AI capabilities into the hands of users. You'll own the design and implementation of new features, upgrade existing UI flows, and help shape the design and APIs. You'll also have exposure to and input on system design, and will advocate for user experience and frontend excellence across the application.

Required Skills:

Highly proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript
Experience owning and maintaining complex application logic
Strong knowledge of React.js, HTML5, and CSS
Experience with UI testing frameworks and test-driven development
Enthusiasm for designing customer-facing interfaces
Experience using RESTful APIs and integrating with backend service
Background in computer science or equivalent experience
Right to work in the UK

Nice to Haves:

Experience with Node.js
Experience with Rust
Familiarity with core web APIs (e.g., Web Workers, Service Workers, HTMLMediaElement, Web Codecs, WebSockets, etc.)
Experience working with video and audio encoders/decoders
Familiarity with WASM (WebAssembly)
