At WerQ AI, we're taking on the tough problems where technology meets real human needs. As a Senior Software Engineer you'll build solutions that actually matter. You'll work side by side with a passionate, diverse team where every perspective counts, and ideas turn into action. Responsibilities

:

Build end-to-end features

: Architect, develop, and maintain scalable applications that connect frontend and backend seamlessly using NestJS and Next.js.

Shape data and APIs

: Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases and APIs for performance, clarity, and scale.

Own the work

: Take features from idea to production, ensuring robustness, minimal bugs, and a high-quality experience for users.

Bring designs to life

: Translate Figma concepts into beautiful, production-ready code with React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.

Leverage AI for impact

: Apply cutting-edge AI to help people discover and land the right job, turning innovation into real-world outcomes.

Engineer advanced web interactions

: Solve tough challenges in browser automation, DOM interaction, and secure integrations.

Scale the platform

: Build and manage infrastructure on GCP to support a growing production environment.

Collaborate relentlessly

: Partner with teammates across disciplines to iterate quickly, solve hard problems, and ship meaningful work.

What We're Looking For

:

8+ years

of engineering experience, with strong skills in

JavaScript/TypeScript

across both frontend and backend environments. Problem-solver at heart who can tackle complex challenges and build solutions that last. Fluent in modern web development, with a strong ability to design

scalable architectures, APIs, and user-facing experiences.

Curious and resourceful, eager to leverage every tool available, from cloud infrastructure to AI, to move fast and deliver impact. Thrives in

Post-Funding Salary

:

UK: 111,356 to 159,080 + Equity

We welcome engineers from all over the world, but we currently have a preference for those located in or working hours within

time zones from UTC?7 (Pacific) through UTC+1 (Western European Time)

. This is to align with our engineering team's collaboration hours, which take place between

9 a.m. and 12 p.m. EST (UTC?4)

. Our current engineers are based in the US, France, and Portugal.
