Job Overview
We are looking for a technically astute and collaborative Senior Software Engineer to join our Sheffield-based engineering team. You will take ownership of designing, implementing, testing, deploying and supporting the next generation of our cloud-based SaaS machine monitoring and manufacturing analytics products.
Working with a modern tech stack including Go, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, TypeScript and React, you will build robust, scalable solutions and play a key role in ensuring efficient, high-quality software delivery.

You will be expected to lead by example in code quality, solution design and delivery, while mentoring colleagues and helping shape our engineering practices.
Familiarity with Python and Flask in a commercial setting and an existing interest in the diverse manufacturing sector are both advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Build
: Take ownership of the design, implementation, testing, deployment and support of features on the FourJaw platform.
Collaborate
: Work closely with product and engineering teammates to refine, plan and deliver efficiently.
Improve
: Champion Agile best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes.
Mentor
: Provide technical guidance and coaching to colleagues, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Communicate
: Share progress, present proposals and raise challenges clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science or a related field, coding qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
Proven experience (typically 4+ years) in software development and engineering, including work on production systems.
Experience leading on design decisions and owning the delivery of significant technical projects.
